24 hours in Kuala Lumpur.

Traveling as a student is a balancing act, and you learn that efficiency is vital when it comes to planning trips during the semester. Sélène, Sophia, and I only had just over 24 hours to make the most of our time in Kuala Lumpur.

The night bus departed at 11:30pm from Singapore, and we arrived at 5:30am the following morning (with the realisation that sleep is a luxury). Planning a short trip can be overwhelming, and there no point exhausting a to-do list; instead, it's recommended to plan beforehand but taking it slow. Our brains started feeling fuzzy around lunchtime, so it worked out best to keep making little coffee, and food stops along the way. Most hostels have a late check-in and early check out (I know, convenient), so packing light was key as it was easier to explore the city without feeling like a pack-mule.

We started with the sunrise at the Batu Caves and ended with the Light show at the Patronus Towers, followed by drinks in the city. Here's a little photo diary from the most packed 24 hours of exploring…
